jeremiada Exhibition

Francisco Remiseiro is a galego figurative sculptor.

“Jeremiada” was the title of the exhibition at Galeria Resistência, which promised to transport viewers into a world of reflection. Through his artworks, Francisco Remiseiro offers what he calls a “wordless lament” about the state of society and its moral decay.
Each exhibited artwork is conceptually self-contained, evoking a sense of raw emotion that can only be conveyed through individual forms. Each piece is a container of the lingering echoes from the extensive work “Jeremiada,” a name derived from the books of the prophet Jeremiah.
The author intended for visitors to experience a silent yet penetrating message as they walk among the sculptures. Perhaps the prophet’s laments will touch a part of their soul. Remiseiro’s work is also a testament to the power of art to speak as loudly, if not louder, than words, and sculpture can capture the essence of our humanity in a way that no other medium can.
In this exhibition, we witnessed the timeless power of sculpture to evoke emotion and capture beauty, and the fragility of the world around us. Make sure to explore “Jeremiada” and allow yourself to be transported by the poetry of these artworks.
